If you have been dealing with hair on your legs, then you’ve probably wondered why your hair grows so fast. The good news is, there are many ways to make it grow more slowly, so you can enjoy a nice, smooth look for longer. These include Epilating, Waxing, and even using medication.

Waxing

If you have been shaving your legs for a while, you may have noticed a reduction in the amount of hair on your legs. This is due to the fact that your hair grows in phases. A small amount of the hair will go into a shedding phase, known as the telogen phase, and then a new layer will start growing.

In the anagen phase, hair grows at a rate of about two inches a month. While the speed at which the growth phase takes place is the same for all individuals, the pattern of growth can be varied. For instance, finer hair tends to have a thinner base and a less grounded end.

You can also slow hair growth with the use of waxing, which will make it less likely that you will have to shave your legs. Waxed hair is not as brittle as shaved hair, so it is easier to pull. Depending on your hair, you might need to have waxing done at least twice a week to maintain a smooth surface.

Epilating

Epilating leg hair can be a bit painful, but there are ways to make it easier. You can use painkillers or Advil before you start, and some people find it easier to epilate at night. Some people find it less painful when they use warm water.

A high quality epilator will reduce the risk of ingrown hairs. Epilators are also safer than razors, which can cause acne. They can remove hair as fine as 0.5mm.

The best way to get started is to start on the lowest speed and gradually increase. You will want to avoid plucking hairs that are wet, as they will make epilating harder.

To avoid irritation, try to find an epilator that has a wide head. This will allow you to remove more hair with less pain. It will also be easier on your skin.

Allowing leg hair to grow

If you’re one of the legions of leg shaving enthusiasts, you’re probably already aware of the best way to do it. And it’s not just the hair. This is why it’s important to know the right tricks to do it right the first time. One trick is to keep your pants down, and your hands free for good luck. A second trick is to wear sunscreen. You’re also likely to have to deal with a few splinters. To avoid this, it’s important to wear a decent quality tee. After all, you want to show up at your next meeting in style.
